Absolutely Amazing!! This little gem is easy to pass by on the eastern shore on the way to Punta Sur. It has a little grass roof kitchen out front by the road with an art gallery in back.
We ordered a rice bowl with steak and one with sautéed snapper, the lobster potato salad, a burrata salad rocked with a multitude of flavors, an amazing burger that was blended in house from sirloin and brisket on a house made brioche bun and ended the meal with a chocolate cake! We met the owner Nick. He has a great story! This was a special experience. A must stop on Isla! I’m a restaurant owner from the states and rarely am I leaving a restaurant saying Wow, Wow Wow!

We had a lovely time at Madera's Saturday night fixed price-fixed menu dinner, celebrating Carlos & Bruce's birthdays. The beautifully presented food was fresh & delicious, and the setting was lovely, including the moonrise over the Caribbean with a gentle breeze. Dinner began with a refreshing citrus shot, and Nic described each dish as it was served.
There were eight courses, paired with three wines & a watermelon sangria, and Baileys on ice to finish. Fresh grouper was featured in two appetizers and the entree. The variety of flavors, seasonings, sauces, and reductions with the well-prepared dishes were evidence of thoughtful and experienced preparation. Carlos aptly described the unique and clever combinations of flavors as, "A party in my mouth!"
It was a leisurely, well-enjoyed dinner & we were all very full & impressed. I think my favorites were the cheesy risotto with the crispy veg topping that included Brussel sprouts, and the gazpacho poured over lobster and shrimp, while Bruce raved about the perfectly prepared Grouper entree. It was all very tasty and we look forward to recommending it to our friends & guests and returning for another memorable dining experience!
PS Nic is very conscientious and accommodating to special dietary needs, like 'no gluten'.
We've also enjoyed his menu items, including the yummy lobster potato salad & flavorful rice bowls!
A hidden gem ! Not really hidden , but a bit off the track. The ocean views alone are worth the trip but the food is fabulous. I had the rice bowl with mixed meats and loved it. Everything is totally fresh and delightfully served. As a definite plus , the art gallery attached is like having dessert. Antonio is a talented guy .
This place is unbelievable!! Ate here twice today. Once on the way to other side island and again in the way back. Nicholas and his crew (ivana especially) got it figured out. Only a few items on the menu, the best freakin burger, smashed Avocado w cucumber salad (guac), Poke (tuna), bistro steak and the best Margarita ever. See you again soon Nicholas! Maybe tomorrow 11am...
Love this place! All the wooden fish caught my attention so we made u-turn and made our way back. Such an interesting place with a variety of hand made items. The owner was very friendly and took the time to chat. Highly recommend stopping by!
The best “New Food” location we found last week during our island visit. Love the fresh menu that changes daily. I can’t say enough about the owner and the food we enjoyed.

I can't get enough of this place! The chicken rice bowl is so good. Mojitos are smooth and cold. The art us beautiful.
I’m still waiting to visit the restaurant, however it was a super delightful surprise to find you guys catering last night dinner! Your food left me speechless, it was a freaking party of flavors in my mouth having the time of their life!

We stopped across the street to take ocean-view photos while exploring the east coast, and happened upon this wonderful place for a beer (wish we’d been hungry, based on the food reviews!). The gallery was wonderful, with paintings, carved wood items, hand crafted jewelry, loved everything in it! Bought some souvenirs, and got an explanation of each item, all made with materials native to Mexico. Next time, the food!!!
A must, if you are visiting the island! Great food, drinks and excellent vibes!!! And pretty awesome art pieces too!

Wow! Finally got to Madera for lunch today and was blown away by their delicious rice bowls! We will definitely be returning often and trying everything on the menu.

I love this place Nic is the bomb he was in a lunch rush the day before I left, no worry cold Cervasa! And people watching and they were totally in their true element crazy! I did eat but enjoyed the atmosphere and of course one of my favorite chefs!
Excellent food and good value. I had one of the specials and my husband had the juicy burger. Both meals were excellent. May be one of the best burgers I have ever had. The spicey margaritas are delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying one of the rice bowls.
La comida muy buena. Destacamos el brownie, y la limonada que nos ha encantado. La hamburguesa casera y muy buen sabor y buena atención. Lugar recomendable al 100%. Toda la carta esta en ingles, agradeceríamos la carta también en español estando en isla mujeres.
La hamburguesa es única, mi única queja es que no hay una opción más ligera para aquellos que no podemos comer muy graso. Por lo demás adoro el lugar
Es un lugar con un diseño muy ecológico, me encantó la idea de que te dan sorbete de aluminio y los platos tallados en madera, la comida es exquisita y a un precio razonable por la ubicación.
De los mejores restaurantes con los que me he topado durante esta experiencia gastronómica por Yucatán ! Materia prima de calidad y platos dignos de saborear. La ensalada de atún con verduras a la brasa... un manjar al paladar ! Servicio muy amable y cercano. Lástima que no hice fotos, pero en mi paladar queda ese plato !
Excelente lugar, comida, bebidas y servicio. Nos encantó el concepto, el sabor fresco y de calidad. Volveríamos sin duda alguna en nuestra próxima visita a Isla mujeres. Llegamos en carritos de golf. Cuando fuimos estaba cómodo y todo salió bastante rápido.

Excelente lugar, sencillo pero confortable! Buena atención, excelente comida! Amo su Tacos de Lechuga con Camarones o Atún, super buenos! Las hamburguesas super buenas también y los pocke bowls. Vale mucho la pena visitar este lugar!!! Además cuentan con una galería de arte!

Lo que más me gusta de este citio es la creatividad que tienen los dueños, reciclan madera y le dan formas, al igual hacen muy buenos trabajos y claro están en un lugar donde se puede tomar o comer lijero.
