We love coming here. The menu is not large, but the flavor is abundant. The atmosphere is incredible romantic and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. Edwardo has always been our waiter and his recommendations are always spot on every time.
The best food I’ve had in Vallarta!! Service is also 5 star ⭐️ the view to die for. Truly excellent food loved it will be going back.
Saw this place on a tv show in England so I did my research and found it. I was not disappointed the staff were first class the food was excellent and then the flaming coffee to finish was something else.
My favorite place in PV. My family visited La Palapa 5 days out of the 7 days we were in PV. The food as well as the presentation is 5 star. The service has always been excellent. Whether it s breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizers, or drinks, you will not be disappointed.
It’s our yearly tradition to end our time in Puerto Vallarta with a sunset dinner at La Palapa. The menu is small, but there are great options for all. This time I had the tortilla soup and the La Palapa shrimp. Both were great, and as always, the overall experience steps up when you consider location (you can eat at a table on the sand- you’re that close to the water) and incredible views all around! Gracias!!

Fernando Edu is the best waiter ever! He took care of all our requests all day long! The food and service are one of the best in Vallarta!
GREAT Restaurant spelled w/capital letters in the old part of Puerto Vallarta! Right on the boardwalk and they have a “sand dining seating” superb for watching the magnificent sunsets of PV. Then after dinner move in the the “Palapa” bar area for music, drinks and dessert. Their staff caters to your every need, service and making recommendations was just outstanding. We came in for a late snake. We had a very cordial bar waitress Diana, take care of our drinks, serving us margaritas and ice cold Mexican beers. Keep checking us and our needs. Our food waiter,Juan, recommended some outstanding appetizers like shrimp/lobster taquitos and grilled octopus-both cooked/grilled perfect and very delicious!!! Juan recommended their house “Lava” cake and Mexican coffee....only the coffee was served as part of a show!!! Served with tequila and Kailua after setting the liquids on fire!! Mixed and pour in front of your table into glasses rimmed with melted brown sugar. Juan has showmanship in mixing it all up with a cherry on top of the glass and on fire!! They had an outstanding duo of acoustic guitar players who playing both Mexican and American songs. It is certainly is one of those restaurants that you will go back to again and again in a Puerto Vallarta!! Guaranteed!!!
By far the best meal I have ever had.... The food was great, service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was beautiful!!
