How lucky is Sayulita that this amazing restaurant moved down from the Bay Area? If you’re looking for something outside of the typical taco fare, look no further than this cozy, delicious spot for authentic Middle Eastern food.
Zatar is my new favorite Sayulita restaurant. Everything is fresh (they have a rooftop garden!), delicious, and spiced just right. You will crave this! The decor, atmosphere, and the owners are lovely, and you don't have to eat out on the dusty street. Love it!

Zatar is my favorite restaurant ANYWHERE and I've been to a few EVERYWHERE. The food is extraordinary = beautifully prepared, brilliantly executed and very unique. This is not your father's falafel place! It transcends everything you think you know about Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food with the best ingredients in the Bay Area, many of which they grow themselves. I'm constantly comparing my dining experiences with the comment "Good, but nothing compared to Zatar!" - which speaks highly because we live and breathe food in Berkeley. There is so much to be discovered on the menu and all of it thoroughly unique to Weil's creativity and skill. Also, Weil and Kelly are the god's of culinary magic as well as being charming and delightful.
Bring lots of cash because you'll want to try everything!

Zatar, to me, is one of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of dining at. Warm ambiance, warm welcomes and amazing food. They grow all of their own vegetables and you can taste the love.
