Caleb was a great ambassador for the restaurant. A fantastic yet entirely reasonable dining experience in the shade of pistachio, sour mandarin, moringa, and other fruit trees with an herb garden, awesome bar using the readily available fruit and herbs for infusions, and open kitchen where you can watch the wood fired magic happen. It’s a revolving menu with heavy Oaxaqueño influence. Highly recommend the mole, steak and marrow, chapulines, huitlacoche empanadas, and Alhambre. Reserve ahead as it fills up fast, and plan your transportation (car or taxi). The nearest bus stop I’ve seen is the Walmart, which would be a 15 minute walk between.

Quite an adventure! The menu was unlike any other. The food was yummy and plentiful. The chef and owner are friendly and came to the table to see how everything was and the outdoor atmosphere was romantic with the lighting hung from the trees and old Mexican movies playing on the big screen above a beautiful bar. Marco was our waiter. Everyone spoke English. Prices are moderate, we will go back again!
