Last night we wanted a special dinner so we headed to Mestizo where we always enjoy a well prepared meal in a comfortable setting. My husband order his favorite Allende IPA and I tried a lemonade with menthe which turned out to be a perfect aperitif. I started with a crisp lettuce salad which included raw beet slices, asparagus, & sun dried tomatoes, and a citrus dressing. My husband had his usual, a soup with huitlacoche which he loves. Our efficient waitress said they had a special of Chilies in Nogada. Traditionally the chilies are stuffed with meat so I asked the waitress if the chef could prepare mine with a meat substitute. The chef came to my table and suggested that he stuff it with minced dried and fresh sauteed fruit. When it was presented to me at the table, I was overwhelmed with the delicious tastes and textures. My husband chose salmon with a crispy skin on a bed of tangy marmalade jelly. This meal exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to return. Since we live in Guanajuato we’ll be back soon
Delicioso, totalmente recomendable, deliciosa la comida, buenas porciones, excelentes precios, muy buen servicio, el mejor restaurante de Guanajuato y muchas otras ciudades. Aunque no alcanzamos lugar para año nuevo, logramos ir a comer y pasar un excelente rato, Muchas gracias por todo! Seguiremos regresando
Celebramos nuestra boda civil ahí, y no podíamos estar más felices. Nos atendieron amablemente todo el tiempo, la comida dejo satisfechos a todos y el lugar fue muy cómodo y atractivo visualmente. No podríamos haber elegido un mejor sitio, ¡Muchas gracias!
